Primal Scream “absorb all the detritus and the wreckage of the world” for Chaosmosis (Q356 Preview)

primalscreamPrimal Scream are set to return with new album Chaosmosis later this year – and Q gets a preview in our new issue.

In an in-the-studio interview with Bobby Gillespie not only do we get a early listen to the new record (released 18 March), the frontman discusses some of the ideas behind it.

Explaining to Q’s Simon Goddard his take on the word on Chaosmosis – the title is taken from a book by French psychologist Félix Guattari – Gillespie provides his own definition.

“It’s trying to absorb all the detritus and the wreckage of the world, everything life throws at you externally and internally,” he suggests. “Then turning it into an artwork which is your resistance to what’s happening.”
