Matt Bellamy has spoken to Q about Muse’s forthcoming album Drones for a special in-the-studio report in our new issue – Q346 out now.
Joining the three-piece at Air Studios, Niall Doherty discovered the band’s more stripped down approach for the record due out on 8 June.
“I went very internal, very into my paranoias, weird feelings and life experiences. It’s quite personal,” says Bellamy of his new songs, explaining that opening track Dead Inside is about “a relationship ending and a person becoming dead inside themselves”.
“There’s not a lot of love on this album,” notes the frontman.
