Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil: “I’m a clumsy oaf onstage!” (Q339 Preview)

biffyBiffy Clyro’s Simon Neil has admitted to Q he is an accident waiting to happen when he gets on a stage.

Speaking in the Last Word interview in our new issue, Q339 out now, having suffered a series of physical injuries across his career the frontman explained his latest occured just a few months ago while touring in Australia.

“I was doing my usual jumping around like a nob and saw the speakers at the side of the stage approaching very fast,” he recalls.

“Normally they’re quite bouncy so I put my head down to stop me. Of course they were solid, so I split my head open. I had blood streaming down my face, I felt like the [blood-splattered England football warhorse] Terry Butcher Of Rock! I’ve torn ligaments, broken my foot, my nose, pulled muscles. I’m a clumsy oaf onstage.”
