alt-J say they have enjoyed their success so far, but speaking in the our new issue – Q340 out now in print and on digital – say they are missing out on one rock’n’roll “rite of passage”, namely Liam Gallagher's disapproval.
With the release of second album This IS All Yours, the band’s Gus Unger-Hamilton tells Pete Paphides he thinks they are due a customary diss from Oasis' frontman.
“My only disappointment is that Liam Gallagher hasn’t slagged us off yet. That’s a rite of passage that has so far been denied to us,” he explains.
“We did try and start a feud once... we waged a twitter war on Bastille, and we accused them of stealing our triangle idea. I think we called the a bunch of triangle-stealing bellends.”
