Florence + The Machine will play London’s Hyde Park next summer, as part of the Barclaycard presents British Summer Time London festival.
The band fronted by Florence Welch will top the bill on 2 July, with Kendrick Lamar and Jamie xx also playing the outdoor gig.
The show represent a great chance to see songs from three of Q’s Albums Of The Year performed live in one place, as all the acts had LPs in our Top 50 this year – check out the full list taken from out latest issue, Q354, on sale now.
According to Q’s editors, Florence + The Machine’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful was “full of bright choruses and big guitars” while Lamar’s concept-driven To Pimp A Butterfly represents “at once a morality play about fame, a tough look at America in the Black Lives Matter era and a thrilling history of black music”.
Meanwhile, Jamie xx’s In Colour contains “breakbeats, sub-bass, dancehall, trance, floor-fillers and calm fused with laboratory precision.”
Also on the bill is Blood Orange, while more names are set to be announced soon.
Tickets for BST Hyde Park go on sale on Friday (4 December) at 9am (GMT). Head to Q Tickets for more information nearer the time.
