Festival Playlist – London's Citadel Festival 2016 by the booker

caribouCitadel Festival takes place in London's Victoria Park this Sunday (17 July). To guide us through a bill of exclusives, namely headliners Sigur Ros and Caribou, booker John Empson has made us a playlist of his personal picks from this year's bill.

Sigur Ros – Brennisteinn "Sigur Ros’s only London play of the year is going to be something otherworldy and completely unmissable. It;s not a music performance its a mullti platform sensory overload. God’s House band is the only way to describe them."

Caribou – Can’t Do Without You "Citadel is set up on the premise of two headliners both playing London exclusive shows. So you won’t see Caribou anywhere near London in 2016 except on Victoria Park. The first Caribou show since the much heralded Field Day set of last year on the same park."

Lianne La Havas – Unstoppable "Fresh from her four shows supporting Coldplay at Wembely stadium infront of a staggering 300K people Lianne plays her only London show headlining the Communion stage."

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats – I Need Never Get Old "Nathaniel and his Denver based cohorts bring their own blend of infectious soul, rock and r&b to Hackney –guaranteed to get the park rocking."

Cat’s Eyes – Drag "Faris Badwen and Rachel Zafira’s have performed guerilla sets at both Buckingham Palace and the Vatican this year! Their award winning show of esoteric eery beauty is sure to stun."

Matt Corby – Resolution "The Australian singer songwriter will bring some much needed sun drenched, gospel infused vibes to the Uk’s festival circuit."

Billie Marten – Bird "17 year_old, BBC Sound of nominated singer songwriter Billie Marten is one of the UK’s brightest new talents sure to play inftont of her biggest crowd to date at Citadel."
