DAVID MCALMONT

Biography

The owner of one of Britain's finest voices, David McAlmont has never achieved the success he’s deserved. Following a well received solo album, he hooked up with ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler in 1995 and they released two excellent singles – think a dizzying concoction of Philadelphia soul and glam rock – but then split acrimoniously. After having had another solo record shelved, McAlmont reunited with Butler in 2001, only for another split when Butler left to form The Tears with Brett Anderson.
