Biography:
The Exiles are an electronic band from Glastonbury. They consist of three brothers – Kevin, Joseph, and Sean McGough – plus Ollie Miller. All born and raised in Glastonbury their influences are informed by the artists they saw at the festival. Their sound mixes influences guitar and electro from bands such Daft Punk and the Chemical Bros; mixing live performance with innovative beats and samples. Since moving to Bristol a couple of years ago they have appeared on the BBC and in NME, Loud and Quiet Magazine, and have played a headlining slot at Bristol Carling Academy as well as numerous support slots for some great acts such as Daddy G [Massive Attack], with the Cribs / Bloc Party / Mani [all DJ Sets], etc to large crowds at great venues in cities across the country: London (Bull&Gate), Manchester [Roadhouse], Sheffield (Boardwalk), Bristol [Louisiana, headlining Carling Academy, Anson Rooms etc); they have also played at numerous UK festivals including Solfest, Wychwood, Dot to Dot Bristol etc. They have an albums-worth of original material, a sizeable following in both London and the Southwest, a mailing list of over 2,000 fans, and have a number of promo video for their songs on youtube.
