Bootscraper are a seven piece country & Eastern/ Agro-Folk group from Leeds.
They formed in late 2008 with a more than fortunate coming together of musicians sporting instruments of varying size and intrigue. They can boast an array of tonal delights spanning from a harmonica to an accordion, with drums, fiddle, Mandolin, banjo, bass, guitar and penny whistle thrown into the mix which gives the band a unique and yet familiar sound which has managed to keep audiences enraptured and even been commended by a well known Irish band.
Their fantastic sound may result from a mixture of them all being music/ music technology students, maybe from them being accredited and classically trained musicians, maybe even from them having been in bands together for a decade, whatever the reason, they certainly make the right sounds and with magazine features, a self produced album on the way, upcoming radio appearances, slots at local and national festivals (both in their sights and soaking up flotsam in their wake), battle-of-the-bands titles under their belts AND! A successful monthly night which they run to enforce their residency at a renowned inner city Leeds bar they look to be a force to be reckoned with.
