Peter and Paul Cunliffe, brothers from a small town nestled between Liverpool and Manchester in England, began Vision Thing when they made a recording of a song called Barcode, this was to break Vision Thing onto US radio station Radio Paradise, gaining regular airplay across the US and around the world.
From Radio Paradise listeners positive feedback, Pete and Paul decided to get a group together to record a new album. In 2009 Matt Lovell joined the band, the Drummer from Southport had previously been in local bands since starting playing at 15.
Soon after, Si White joined the band, Si from Formby, near Liverpool on Bass, finally, Micah Hampson joined the band playing Trumpet and Keyboards, Micah, who has a performance degree in music has split the recent years in the Caribbean, Alaska and the northern Atlantic splitting his time between the high seas and singing in the piano bars of Scandinavia.
Through a Shimmering Haze
The band started to rehearse songs that Pete and Paul had written in March 2009 going into Vision Things own studio in July 2009 to record the album and have it for sale in October 2009.
The album which contains 12 songs, follows the path of Vision Thing's influences, containing, piano ballads, acoustic folk and electric rock songs directly mirroring the bands diverse influences.
