Biography:
Freddie Kofi Singer – Songwriter BASCA Song Search Award Winner UK singer-songwriter, Freddie Kofi, is enjoying somewhat of a renaissance in his music career of late. Kofi is currently performing new songs from his soon to be released new album, Redefine, due out spring 2010. But the biggest compliment to Kofi’s consistent progress as an independent recording artist came from the Royal Commonwealth Society right at the start of 2010. Kofi has been asked to perform live at Westminster Abbey before Her Majesty The Queen, Prince Philip, The High Commissioner plus 2,000 guests Con Commonwealth Day, Monday 8th March 2010. “This is a massive compliment,” states Kofi. He continues: “This has come as a total surprise. But it is also great recognition for me because I am a real champion for people to never give up on their dreams. And the music industry is proving time and time again, that, if the music is good enough then so is the act no matter what age you might be!” Winner of the BASCA (British Academy of Songwriters Composers & Authors) Song Search Award 2005 (Contemporary Christian Category) with his song, Kiss, Freddie Kofi will also soon be celebrating an incredible milestone in his music career. 2010 will see Kofi celebrating 21 years since The Prince’s Trust helped him start his own independent record label.
