Final Clearance are a five-piece band based in Milton Keynes. The band formed in 2005 after lead singer Tom Simpson spent his first year at uni writing songs rather than studying. He was joined by his sister Ellie on bass, their friends Adam Conn on lead guitar, Trevor Morley on drums and Sarah Allen on violin.
Their debut gig was at Stantonbury Campus in April 2007. Over the following year they played at the MK4U Festival in Campbell Park and several nights at Zaks Bar in Wolverton.
In April 2008 they recorded at The Lodge Studios in Northampton and created the E.P “Window Cleaners of Amsterdam.” The EP proved popular and helped the band secure several dates in London, including a slot at The Fly in August 2008.
Since then, Final Clearance have looked to play a mixture of London and Milton Keynes. In November 2008 they went back to The Lodge Studios and finished recording their debut LP “Teenage Dreamland.” The album is made up of the songs Tom wrote at University and was released in June 2009.
In the summer of 2009, Adam left the band and was replaced on lead guitar by Jac Coates.
