Multi instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter Abigail Smith began writing music at a very early age. She released her first album Night Time Walking in 2009. Her song Oh Sam from this album won a prize with Hotpress and the New York Tisch Film School to have a music video made for it http://short.ie/ohsam. Her original style of music is the result of a diverse musical upbringing. She studied music in NUI Maynooth. Abigail has featured on albums by David Kitt, Somadrone, 3epkano, Brianna Corrigan (Beautiful South) and Star Little Thing. She was selected to play at the 2008 Electric Picnic. Abigail is currently working on her next album. She was commissioned to write music for the film “Trolley Boy”, which was screened at the Galway film festival 2009 and has since been nominated for an IFTA. Abigail was also commissioned to write a piece for the internationally renowned Diversus Guitar Ensemble. Abigail performs regularly with her group.
