Echo & The Bunnymen new album preview – listen now

Echo & The Bunnymen return with new album Meteorites – their first in five years – on 26 May and they’ve given Q this preview.

“It’s more edgy than anything I’ve ever done,” says Ian McCulloch of the album which features founding guitarist Will Sergeant. “I’m dealing with something on this record I didn’t want to deal with for a long time.”

Listen to a bit of each of the track on the new record, below now. Meanwhile the band kick off their UK tour next week (10 May) in Oxford. For more head to

The tour actually kicked off last Friday 02 May at The Assembly, Leamington Spa. I was there. Brilliant gig, great to hear five new tracks and well as the not often played live Nocturnal Me. The evening was marred by the knobhead who threw a can of beer in the closing minutes of the encore causing the band to walk off.

This is the set list from Utrecht on the 8th of May. Lots of chat from Ian throughout and this set finished with a sing-a-long Ocean Rain

Thank you for sharing this Jeke. Glad you had a good night, how great to have Ocean Rain as the final encore! This evenings show in Wolverhampton has been cancelled – unfortunately Mac is not well – sore throat etc. It’s already been re-scheduled though :)
