London rockers Loom follow-up a series of acclaimed EPs with a series of hometown shows, kicking off with a free one at the Ace Hotel tonight (15 May), before heading to Dalston Power Lunches on Saturday (17 May). Frontman Tarik Badwan (a Horror brothers) answers a few questions…
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
The only person who would bother to make that film is me. So I would play myself.
WHAT are you currently working on?
Writing and recording music. Finding a way to release our debut album. Basically doing the hard work it takes to be in a good band rather than being handed success by a big record label or management company.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
Because we’re sick of The British music scene being dominated by pathetic indie bands. The alternative is either metal or bad punk. We want to be a credible rock band with personality.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
At this rate still trying to release our album.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
Whose the comedian at Q that came up with this one?
