What’s your album’s of the year – let Q know your Top 5 albums of 2015 either below, or via Facebook or Twitter.

  • Marcos Blanco

    Best 5 Albums 2015

  • Neal Kenneth

Good riddance to an excruciatingly slow year for music! Agree with Tame Impala getting the top spot, but even that had problems.

  • Zach

Lol this was one of the best years for music in the past 15 years

  • Louis

I agree with Neal Kenneth. It was a shocker of a year for music. Cannot think of one album in the top 50 I would buy. Compared to previous albums for example , deserters songs and songs for the death, this year was very poor.

  • Anton

    1. Sufjan Stevens- Carrie & Lowell
    2. Father John Misty- I love you, honeybear
    3. El vy- Return to the moon
    4. Deportees- The big sleep
    5. Jason Isbell- Something more than free

  • finn

    1. Kendrick Lamar – To Pimp A Butterfly
    2. Everything Everything – Get To Heaven
    3. Young Fathers – White Men Are Black Men Too
    4. Sufjan Stevens – Carrie & Lowell
    5. Tame Impala – Currents

  • Tyler Watson

Ugh…..slow year for music. Tame Impala #1? Wussy music is unfortunately very popular nowadays.

  • Petko Kolev

    1. Florence + The Machine – HB.HB.HB
    2. Josef Salvat – Night Swim
    3. Adele – 25
    4. Marina and the Diamonds – FROOT
    5. Years&Years – Communion

  • Adam Creelman

Not completely sold on this list (who ever is), but if you don’t think this was a good year in music, you weren’t going it right, at all.

  • Ruskel

    No Richard Hawley??!!

  • Brodinsky

I feel really sad, l mean, with all respect, no one of these records made me feel anything, any emotion, nothing surprised me. Most of them seem mediocre to me. l am not saying they were bad, just pale in comparison to other years…l could not find any single record that hit me hard and shocked me… l listened to several of these records waiting for something to amaze me, but nothing happened :(
I just think that if this was 2004,2005,2006.. and Z by My morning Jacket,Funeral by Arcade Fire, Howl by BRMC, Return to Cookie Mountain by TV on the Radio were on the race…Tame Impala would have not made it so high on the list.
is it just me? I hope it is just me, it is an unpleasant sensation. I don’t wish it on anyone.

  • Tom Hocknell

I disagree – there are the 10 best albums, inc Charlatans, and not Tame Impala –

    https://tomhocknell.wordpress.com/2015/12/08/albums-of-the-year-2015/

Kendrick Lamar – To Pimp A Butterfly has topped all lists, which makes me suspicious.

  • Frank Rogers

I think that it was a pretty decent year in music. Fading Frontier by Deerhunter should have made the list. I need to give To Pimp A Butterfly another listen – it seemed a little too cerebral the first go-round.

  • Diego A Secas

I am nimra Brenda, from USA, I promise to share this testimony all over the world once my Husband return back to me, and today with all due respect i want to thank Prophet DR.AJIDARA for bringing joy and happiness to my relationship and my family. I want to inform you all that there is a spell caster that is real and genuine. I never believed in any of these things until i loosed my husband, I required help until i found a great spell caster, And he cast a love spell for me, and he assured me that I will get my husband back in two days after the spell has been cast. Three days later, my phone rang, and so shockingly, it was my husband who has not called me for past 6 months now, and made an apology for the heart break, and told me that he is ready to be my back bone till the rest of his life with me. Prophet DR.AJIDARA released him up to know how much i loved and wanted him. And opened his eyes to picture how much we have share together. As I`m writing this testimony right now I`m the most happiest girl on earth and me and my husband is living a happy life and our love is now stronger than how it were even before our break up. So that`s why I promised to share my testimony all over the universe. All thanks goes to DR.AJIDARA for the excessive work that he has done for me. Below is the email address in any situation you are undergoing a heart break, and I assure you that as he has done mine for me, he will definitely help you too with any kind of problems that you are having. Courtney B is OK

  • norestfor

Ghostpoet, Shredding Skin, there are some good albums this year, the more I think about it. Not on that list though.

  • Peter Bartholomew

I too think there is something very suspicious about so many of the top album lists being so similar even down to the wording of the individual reviews, paid for by the industry mainly to promote their great hopes for next year?? A very poor year for music, some deeply dull albums in the top 50’s, Wolf Alice is good, best album by far was Riverside – ” Love, Fear And The Time Machine”

  • Julia Griggs

Like quite a few of these. Won’t say which ones. Still, there seems to be a little too much estrogen in this list & in the year in music in general.

  • Julia Griggs
